Christmas Again, So Soon! Didn't we just have one of those? What Christmas Is REALLY About...

CHRISTMAS IS COMINGSO, IT'S CHRISTMAS...AGAIN...UGGGHHH
WHY CAN'T WE ADULTS GET A BREAK?
- BECAUSE WE CHOSE TO BE PARENTS...LOL

Alright so one thing EVERYONE rushes to ensure at Christmas is that there is at least one reasonably tasteful gift under the Christmas Tree for each person expected to be present on Christmas Day. Whether they be family, close friends or those annoyingly overbearing acquaintances you were obligated to invite this year. Do the count and that means. something for him, something for her, something for the kids, something for the 'guests', the animals can have the 'left-overs' and ALL kids get something extra...A GIFT FROM SANTA CLAUS aka Mum or Dad hehehe.

You see, when looking from the correct perspective, Christmas is truly about FAMILY and the Family BEING TOGETHER and tolerant of one another, for at least ONE SINGLE DAY.
The problem today though is that GREED TOOK OVER. Big Wigs and assorted companies of all kinds and sizes Worldwide (whomever saw and sought profit in their hearts rather than Love) over the years have 'Commercialized' Christmas and the true meaning of this once, so beautiful Holiday. These people are those we refer to as a 'SCROOGE'.

Now, these days most of us 'dread' this time of year and parents literally perceive this whole experience as one huge CHORE! Boxing Day brings a sigh of relief (BUGGER THOSE DARN BOXING DAY SALES WE'RE ALREADY BROKE!) along with the realization that there's mega cleaning to be done and friends are hassling you about going out for New Years Eve. Most of us are parents. We'd rather get some much needed sleep because after a few 'New Year's Eves' it feels like just another night as a Mother or Father and nothing is different bar the last section of the date on your calendars. It is still Monday or Wednesday or a week-end and life with routine goes on, continues. Just you wait, seven (7) days. Seven Days and everything will seem as though Christmas, New Years', the Holiday Shopping Stress, all of that shall appear as though it never happened and all will swiftly seemingly go back to normal as though December never happened! Just wait, you'll see :)

To experience Love in kind, unconditionally is a very special thing. No matter how 'Boof' or 'insensitive' we may sometimes appear, we all know this well. For some, this is something that hasn't been 'had' due to unfortunate circumstances so those of us who can read this now know just how lucky you really are for what you have today.

Why Christmas Really Is All About Children

It could be said that since it was the birth of a baby as a gift to

mankind that gave rise to Christmas, then children should also and always be the primary focus of the season. Individual families will say they have always put children first and parents will sacrifice seeking their desires at Christmas to make sure their children are satisfied. And although adults also look forward with much anticipation to the Christmas season, the frenzy that accounts for all the shopping and preparation during the Christmas season is really for the benefit of children.
From a financial perspective, the extensive shopping done at Christmas is really of benefit to businesses. But what really drives the maddening shopping activity is a desire by parents, relatives, friends and acquaintances to play Santa Claus, mainly for children. Within families, children are usually the ones who individually receive the most gifts. And it's deservedly so because their wide-eyed anticipation, excitement and pure joy when they open their Christmas
presents gives everyone an indescribably happy feeling.
Along with playing Santa Claus and secretly getting gifts for children,
adults also use the Santa story for all it's worth as an effective means of
discipline. As soon as the Fall season approaches, children will begin to hear
warnings about their behavior and the consequence of Santa Claus not leaving any
toys or presents like the wonderful ones they received in the prior year. And when the Santa Claus story is not being used to help to get the best behavior

from children, it is simply pure fun to delight them by telling them stories about Santa Claus, his elves and reindeer's to simply enliven their imagination.
The story of Santa Claus is even useful for older children who may just be starting to unravel the mystery of Santa Claus. The stories that tell of different places where Santa Claus actually lives can be a starting point to go on an imaginative journey around the globe and become a geography lesson to learn about those places.
Children are also central to Christmas because the many grand displays of Christmas scenery, colorful lights and sparkling ornaments really target the attention of children. So, if children were not so important at Christmas time, then it is quite possible that many of the traditions that make Christmas what it is would not exist. As an example, Valentine's Day and holidays related to Easter have a much different mood and atmosphere. Children aren't the focus in celebrations for those special periods.

Christmas is also an important period for the toy industry whose clients are naturally children. Although the industry is part of the big retail picture and therefore seeks to boost sales during the Christmas season, there is also a deeper meaning for children. Toys are important to entertain, to educate, to
help children develop their imagination and to develop coordination and other skills in children. Toys can also help children to play together and learn to share.

The toy industry is therefore important at Christmas time in introducing new products that are integral to the development of children. When children become totally captivated by a new toy at Christmas time, it may help them to learn a new skill or provide new knowledge all in a fun and captivating way that will make it more likely that whatever is learned will be remembered.
Children are also the focus of Christmas celebrations because it is important to create fond childhood memories of the season. These memories are created not by children necessarily receiving a lot, but by enjoying everything about the season. The story of Jesus with the moral of sharing, giving and doing kind deeds for others can also help to build a good character and set a moral foundation that teaches children to have empathy and compassion during the Christmas season and all throughout the year.

In the be all and end all of the matter, it is undeniable that the Traditional Christmas Celebration (when experienced from childhood in a Healthy yet-happy Traditional Sense) is an important and positive 'personal character-building' social-learning experience which gives children a type of 'reward' to earn throughout the year by applying good behavioral skills on their own. If Christmas is NOT experienced healthily to the extent where a child is obviously suffering from negative influences and being 'held-back' unwillingly in a social learning application and/or normal family situations (including common-house family traditions) then the child can develop severe learning disabilities which cannot be reversed easily, if at all. Once a child's personality has 'set' by the age of 5-7 years of age, it becomes extremely difficult to change the damage caused by negative upbringing. By giving a child something positive to look forward to, it gives them something to work towards and assists the child to develop some kind of structure in their daily activities.
If your family doesn't celebrate Christmas then replace it with something similar that your family does support or celebrate happily. Solutions are easy to find if you're willing to compromise for your child's future well-being. It's not that hard to wait a little longer for a smoke break etc. if your kids need you. Love them, Love yourself, Love your Family and Love the Life you are Living Now. Take Care and Be Happy, Safe and Well.

Lots Of Love, Hugs and Kisses  xxX Gem Xxx
